Our standing commitment to veterans, and how to reach us.

Call 988 and press 1, or text 838255. The Veterans Crisis Line is staffed 24 hours a day by people who understand.

You do not have to be enrolled in VA care to use it.

Hometown Heroes is small on purpose. We are not a charity and we are not clinicians. We are a game studio with a community full of people who served, and we do one thing: help someone find the door they are looking for.

This is open to everyone who served.

Combat veterans. People who never deployed. Career soldiers and people whose service ended early. Those with VA coverage and those who never qualified for it — entry-level separations, uncharacterized discharges, less-than-honorable paper, Guard service that never triggered eligibility.

Some of those people get plenty of support and some get none at all. We are not sorting anyone into a queue. If you served, you are welcome here.

We only need to know that you served.

We don't ask what your discharge says, and it doesn't affect anything.

WHAT WE DO

  • We read every message and we take what you tell us seriously
  • We look for support that will see you, whatever your discharge status
  • We point you toward an accredited Veterans Service Officer when there are questions about what you may be entitled to. Their help is free

WHAT WE CAN'T

  • We can't promise an outcome. Every situation is different and some are beyond what we can reach
  • We don't assist with VA disability claims. That work belongs to accredited representatives
  • We are not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs, and we never charge anyone for anything
